Our Vision

Dhvani is a non profit organization formed in 2000 to address the growing need in the Northwest for an in depth education in music and other aspects relating to Indian culture and art forms. Dhvani which essentially means "sound" in Sanskrit, aims to be a center of learning.

A grass roots organization with a focus on the teaching aspect, Dhvani's emphasis also is in introducing some of India's foremost teachers and exponents of the diverse art forms extant today in the country. Through a deeper knowledge of one's own language, mythology, philosophy and traditions, Dhvani aims to promote a better understanding of other cultural contexts.
