LAURA MOYA LAMM - Celtic Harp

Laura Moya Lamm is a Certified Music-Thanatologist (CM-Th) at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. She obtained extensive experience in vocal performance and musical theater before being accepted to the Chalice of Repose Project, School of Music-Thanatology, in Missoula, Montana in 1994. She graduated in 1996, was certified by the Chalice of Repose Project in 1997, and served on the faculty as Clinical Mentor from 1998 through 2001. During that time, she also developed a clinical liaison position between the Chalice of Repose Project's clinical practice and Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. She is part of the Providence interdisciplinary team of the Portland area that received the 2003 Circle of Life Award, which recognizes and honors innovation in palliative and end-of-life care. Laura has attended over 2500 bedside music vigils over the past eleven years. Laura is currently serving a second term as president of the Music-Thanatology Association International, the professional organization of music-thanatologists from all over the world.

Jim Binkley - Ch'in/Qin

Jim Binkley has a M.S. degree in Computer Science from Washington State University. In the past three decades he has worked at Tektronix, Intel, the Oregon Graduate Institute, and at Portland State University on various networking and operating system software projects. His current interests include network management and network security, TCP/IP-based protocol design, routing theory and practice, and mobile networking. He also plays the seven stringed Chinese zither called Ch'in/Qin for the past several decades. http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~jrb/
